Karnataka educational institutes reopening
Regular classes in colleges in the state had resumed for final year students in Karnataka in November last year after the institutions remained shut for eight months due to the rapid spread of Covid-19 across the country and the nationwide lockdown. Karnataka is witnessing a steady rise in fresh Covid-19 cases of late with the daily infections crossing the 2,000 mark on Tuesday after a gap of over three months, due to which many parents are wary of sending their wards to institutes for offline classes. The government of Karnataka had also recently decided to crack the whip against schools that have resume offline classes for students of classes 1 to 5 amid the rise in Covid-19 cases. The government has plans to take strict action against these schools.
